Telling stories through my lens in still photos and videos.
My story starts in Salt Lake City. I was born to amazing parents who thought they were empty nesters, only to discover my mother didn’t have the flu, she was pregnant with me…
By the age of three, I was deaf, and for two years, no one knew about it. Somehow, I was able to heighten my senses, read lips and navigate the world without sound.
While battling being deaf and having 13 operations to get some hearing back, I was diagnosed with being dyslexic. I struggled with academics.
I turned to art. I found photography … and I found my voice.
For the last 20 years, I’ve been creating portraits that tell a story. I’ve been blessed to travel the world, telling stories through my lens.
It was a natural progression to go from still photography to video. This opened a world of working with clients I never thought would be possible … from doctors … to real estate … to artists, and beyond.
Having the opportunity to shoot video further opened up my creative world. With video, I have vastly expanded my horizons as a visual storyteller.
